Mission: ZERO ADMIN
EQ.app runs recruiting and sales agents on one platform so staffing firms and SME service providers can eliminate admin and scale relevant, interested, verified conversations.
Letter from the Founder
I've spent the last 18 years in staffing and recruitment. It's an industry full of sharp, battle-tested professionals who can sell solutions and deliver value — but they're asked to do it with the wrong tools.
When I led innovation for the largest staffing firm in the world, I built products to solve real problems. In 2018, I was already talking about how AI was coming for recruitment. Now it's here — and the tools alone aren't enough. The only way forward is solutions that integrate directly into the workflows, remove admin, and drive results.
That's why we started EQ. First, we built a community — over 30,000 recruiters strong. We launched the AI in Recruitment podcast, drawing 12,000 monthly views, and listened carefully.
The #1 problem I heard when I asked "What's your biggest challenge?" was the same every time:
"We need more Relevant, Interested, Verified (RIV) clients and candidates."
So we built the RIV Score and a network of AI agents that match, enrich, and screen candidates and clients — surfacing only the best opportunities. Our first product, EQBuddy ("ChatGPT for recruiters"), gave us early revenue and, more importantly, proprietary data to power our models.
Now we're scaling the EQ Agent Platform — the agentic infrastructure that runs both EQ Recruiting (supply) and EQ ICP for Sales (demand) on the same core. Like Nvidia powers AI models, EQ powers agent-enabled service delivery for staffing and service companies. We solve the biggest challenge for small to mid-sized staffing and recruiting firms, connecting them to relevant, interested, and verified (RIV) clients and candidates at the right time. We do this by building AI agents that integrate seamlessly into their workflow.
Our vision is simple:
Build the agentic layer that connects every service provider to their ICP.
The future is Zero-Admin. Let humans do what they do best — build trust, close deals, and deliver service — while agents handle the rest.

Community to Customer Strategy
Converting 30,000 members into paying customers
Our strategy leverages our established community of 30,000 members as the foundation for sustainable growth. We convert community engagement into trial usage, then guide users through our value proposition before they consider alternatives.
This approach ensures high-quality leads with pre-existing trust and understanding of our mission.
The "Company of One" Evolution
We're witnessing a fundamental shift: micro business recruiters are evolving from traditional staffing into specialized consultants. This "company of one" trend represents the future of personalized, high-value recruiting services.
The ICP Imperative
In this new landscape, having clearly defined Ideal Client Profiles (ICPs) isn't just helpful—it's essential for survival. Micro recruiters must know exactly who they serve best to compete with larger firms and justify premium pricing.
EQ.app provides the infrastructure these evolved consultants need to identify, attract, and retain their perfect clients and candidates.
Why Now
We are at a pivotal moment. AI has moved from hype to reality, offering both productivity gains and entirely new ways to grow. Yet most companies — especially SMEs — lack the technical experience to turn AI into outcomes. They are sold "tools" when they need solutions.
For SMEs, growth challenges fall into two camps:
1. Attracting their Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
2. Retaining and expanding their ICP
They often can't access the signals that define who their ICP really is, making growth a guessing game.
Staffing Firms: The Unique Challenge
Staffing and recruitment firms are unique: they have two ICPs — clients and candidates. Connecting the right person to the right opportunity is mission-critical for both supply and demand.
These firms are misunderstood but resilient. They innovate constantly, sell solutions, and thrive on relationships — but they're underserved. Instead of agentic solutions, they're offered generic platforms with monopoly pricing (LinkedIn, ZoomInfo) built for tech-savvy founders, not niche service providers.
The Secret Club Reality
Behind the scenes, staffing is like healthcare insurance: it's a relationship-driven "secret club." Everyone wants to be a tech-enabled services business, but most don't know how.
Sales alone won't cut it — they need a new layer of workforce: an agentic workforce that continuously balances supply and demand.

Staffing rebounds
Global staffing is projected to reach $650B in 2025 (+5% YoY), recovering after a two-year dip.
AI in HR inflects
Market growing from $6.05B (2024) → $6.99B (2025); on track for $14.08B by 2029.
RPO accelerates
$7.0B (2024) → $8.18B (2025); high-teens CAGR, with multi-year expansion outlook.
SMB adoption rises
~38–39% of SMBs now use AI; usage has ~doubled since 2023.
Why now: Signals exist; attention doesn't. The firms that turn signals into agent-executed workflows will win.

TAM
Core serviceable market (2025):
Staffing spend: $650B (platform-addressable workflows: research, sourcing, outreach, scheduling, reporting)
RPO services: $8.2B (2025) on course to low-teens billions through 2029 (agent-enabled delivery)
AI in HR software layer: $6.99B (2025) expanding to $14.08B by 2029 (agentic orchestration layer sits here)
Go-to-market beachheads
Commercial staffing firms, niche agencies, SME service providers who need both sides of the market (clients & candidates).
Thesis: Software commoditizes; service margin persists. EQ turns agent workflows into the tech-enabled service backbone for this spend.
Traction
Paid customers
Active users (6 managed accounts + 48 individual)
2025 Angels
CRO G2, Founder & CEO BTG, CEO of a $100M staffing firm, CEO of an SME staffing firm spending $7M on outsourcing
Problem (concise)
Two ICPs, one headache
Staffing must win clients (demand) and candidates (supply) simultaneously.
Signal poverty
Who's hiring now, who's contactable, who's actually interested—all buried across tools.
Admin drag
Research → enrichment → outreach → scheduling → CRM/ATS updates = hours/day of non-selling work.
Incumbent pain
Costly, generic platforms and data contracts; pay for millions of irrelevant rows, get locked-in.
